Thursday the 5th of Feb 2009 was Haydee's first day as a fully fledged Kindergarten student at Darlington Kindergarten. She has been looking forward to this day all week. We spent the week shopping for her books and stationery that she would need for the year. She especially enjoyed shopping for her school lunches and we have been spending the last month teaching her how to write and recognise numbers and letters. She spent the whole day at Kindy by herself...I was alil worried because she has always been at home with me and was never interested in daycare. So this was anew experience for her and myself. I really missed my mate while she was away and it felt weird not having her around. So you could probably guess that I was there very early to pick her up at the end of the day. She had soooo much fun and her favourite part of the day was painting. She loves being creative and loves painting. She made a whole lot of friends and was eager to tell us about her day.
