MERRY CHRISTMAS ELDER ARMITAGE

I THINK THE PICTURES SAY IT ALL, WHAT A BUNCH OF CLOWNS...HAHAHA

NORAND WARD ACTIVITY

Bethlehem City

OK, so were not even in Noranda Ward, but I was asked to help decorate for their Christmas Ward activity which involved a huge pot luck dinner and a roadshow. I think this would be one of my most memorable achievements. Had so much fun, and would you believe it only took us half a day to set up the whole hall. Lots of fun.

CHRISTMAS TIME

This always seems to be my favourite time of the year, And since we'll be in NZ for Christmas we decided for Haydee's sake that we would put the tree up in November.

Haydee loves to decorate the tree and this year she had a ball. Normally there would be more decorations everywhere, but i didn't like the idea of packing it all away when we got back So we decorated on the sparse.
We brought haydee's presents a little while ago when the Toy Sale was on and now that her laybys are paid they are sitting in our wardrobe waiting to be wrapped. So everytime she comes into our room she always closes her eyes and says "Im not looking honest!"
That's a real under statement. We caught her in our room the other day and found her in our wardrobe. We asked "What are you doing?" Her reply "Im playing hide n seek, Oh look you found me" Couldn't help but laugh.

THE VALIANT CLASS ACTIVITY

So Ive been teaching in Primary for the past 5 months now and have struck up a repor with my Valiants. There are 10 of them and were considered the horror class of Primary. After a lot of perseverance they are now angels and alot of fun to be with. So we held our class activity at the chapel, starting off with all you can eat Pizza and some fun games. By the end of the night, the kids were tanked with pizza, apples, lollies, ice cream and water balloons. Check these out.

BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS (armie style)

On the 2nd of August 2008 Hayden and I started our Vege patch again. Only this time it wasn't in polystyrene boxes. We decided to plant everything that we ate!!!. The first pic, we planted all our root veges...carrots, onions beetroot, chives and pumpkin. Strawberries, in the poly boxes and on the right side we planted our greens...Spinach, chinese cabbage, pak choy, lettuce, coriander, garlic, honey snap peas, Roma and hearty beef tomatoes.

SO CHECK THIS OUT!!!

Harvesting the veges was soooo exciting!!!

Bottled Beetroot

Spinach and Ricotta Pie

(Spinach from the Garden)

Gardening for our family has always been a great way in teaching Haydee about how things grow and what we can do with the veges when we pull em. Its also been a great time for gospel teaching moments. As well as the many water fights we've had. Much to our dismay though,Haydee doesn't eat veges or fruit. Thank goodness for Deceptive cooking!!! and puree. Spinach and Ricotta pie is about the only healthy thing she will eat. I add bacon to my pie and she loves bacon. And because she loves bacon, and the whole pie tastes like bacon, she's none the wiser. We are really proud of our efforts and by the looks of it, we will be inheriting alot of Tomatoes and about 50+ Pumpkins. "So lookout Molly Mormon" the Armies are in Town.

CANADA!!! HERE HE COMES

Elder Matthew Ryan Armitage, departed our fair city of Perth for the Calgary Mission, Canada. We were so excited for him that we met him at the airport at 4.30am. Well some of us were there at that time...aye steve n pip. Elder Armitage was so prepared and we are all so proud of him. It was great to hang out at the airport and treat the kids to an aeroplane take off. And this was he looked.

BON VOYAGE ELDER ARMITAGE!!!

WE LOVE YOU.

HANGING WITH THE B's

Headed to the Pines for an all you can eat buffet. And judging by the photos this is what food can do to you. Its always fun mixing with the family and it was great to see Manousso and to finally meet his lovely family. Lots of fun and laughs.

HAYDEE'S 4TH B'DAY PARTY

The big Day has finally arrived. Haydee's birthday party!!!! Yay!!!She has been talking about what she wants to have happen at her party since August. And the day has finally arrived. We sent up the tent and gazebo in the backyard for all the kids to hang in and run through. They decorated wooden frames, played pass the parcel, hit the pinata and smashed the cake. Haydee wanted a chocolate m & m pyramid cake. So half was chocolate cake and the other half were choclate boxes filled with chocolate money. My best cake decorating feat ever!!! There was lots of chocolate, screaming, painting, presents, friends, chocolate and she loved every minute of it.

By the end of the day, all the kids were filthy. But they were happy, she was happy and thats what counted.
