OUR KIWI CHRISTMAS in NZ 2008
WoW!!! We spent Christmas with our family in Nz. its been about 10 years since my family have been together at once. So this was quite a monumental moment. So much happened for us and we were able to catch up with each other and spend some quality time reflecting on the past etc. As for Haydee...well we hardly saw her. She was off galavanting around with her cousins and playing with them the whole time. She had such a ball. Three of her cousins she had met for the very first time...but by the way they interacted, you'd have thought they were all buds. So this was a very eventful holiday....mostly family orientated. So meet the Haerewa's.
ROAD TO BETHLEHEM
Here in Perth the Seventh Day Adventists put on this Christmas nativity pageant called the 'Road to Bethlehem', where you are taken on a journey thru Bethlehem looking for the Christ Child. It is a free event and one that is always well done. They do a great job of the costumes and the acting is great. We went with the kevan family, but it is an event that we enjoy taking our youth to and bringing other families to every year. There are camel rides, free health checks, food stalls and craft stalls for the kids, A bouncy castle and live band going for entertainment. A Great night for all. and lots of fun

NORAND WARD ACTIVITY
Bethlehem City
OK, so were not even in Noranda Ward, but I was asked to help decorate for their Christmas Ward activity which involved a huge pot luck dinner and a roadshow. I think this would be one of my most memorable achievements. Had so much fun, and would you believe it only took us half a day to set up the whole hall. Lots of fun.

CHRISTMAS TIME
This always seems to be my favourite time of the year, And since we'll be in NZ for Christmas we decided for Haydee's sake that we would put the tree up in November.
Haydee loves to decorate the tree and this year she had a ball. Normally there would be more decorations everywhere, but i didn't like the idea of packing it all away when we got back So we decorated on the sparse.
We brought haydee's presents a little while ago when the Toy Sale was on and now that her laybys are paid they are sitting in our wardrobe waiting to be wrapped. So everytime she comes into our room she always closes her eyes and says "Im not looking honest!"
That's a real under statement. We caught her in our room the other day and found her in our wardrobe. We asked "What are you doing?" Her reply "Im playing hide n seek, Oh look you found me" Couldn't help but laugh.

THE VALIANT CLASS ACTIVITY
So Ive been teaching in Primary for the past 5 months now and have struck up a repor with my Valiants. There are 10 of them and were considered the horror class of Primary. After a lot of perseverance they are now angels and alot of fun to be with. So we held our class activity at the chapel, starting off with all you can eat Pizza and some fun games. By the end of the night, the kids were tanked with pizza, apples, lollies, ice cream and water balloons. Check these out.
